A Petrobras e o governo de SP assinaram nesta segunda-feira (6/10) um protocolo para para a elaboração de estudos conjuntos e plano de atuação na área de gás natural, principalmente quanto a providências na área de licenciamento ambiental. O acordo visa tornar o estado menos dependente do gás boliviano.

O aumento da oferta para o estado virá em duas etapas – por meio de uma maior capacidade de intercâmbio com a malha de gasodutos em processo de ampliação no Rio de Janeiro. Dos atuais 8 milhões de m³/dia, o volume de transporte do Rio para São Paulo passará para 15 milhões de m³/dia, com moléculas que poderão vir do Espírito Santo ou mesmo do terminal de GNL da Baia de Guanabara. O consumo atual do estado é de cerca de 17 milhões de m³/dia.

A previsão é que em abril de 2009 estejam em operação dois serviços de compressão, nos municípios de Suzano e São Bernardo do Campo. Juntas as instalações vão garantir um escoamento adicional de gás natural de 4 milhões de m³/dia. As licenças de instalação deverão estar disponíveis até o final deste mês.

Quando os gasodutos Gaspal II e Gasan II estiverem concluídos em 2010 - ambos integrarão o sistema Guararema-Refinaria de Cubatão (RPBC) -, a capacidade crescerá em 7 milhões de m³/dia e as duas estações serão desativadas, bem como os gasodutos Gaspal I e Gasan I. Nesse caso as licenças prévias são aguardadas para dezembro e as licenças de instalação para abril de 2009.

O estado só terá gás novo a partir de 2010, quando está programada a entrada em operação do gasoduto de 98 km que interligará a unidade de tratamento de gás de Caraguatatuba até o município de Taubaté, no planalto. O Gastau terá capacidade total de 20 milhões de m³/dia, mas começará transportando 5 milhões de m³/dia. Esse projeto já tem licença de instalação liberada pelo Ibama faltando apenas a anuência do governo paulista para uma estrada de acesso ao canteiro.

“As obras estão dentro do cronograma previsto, mas estamos colocando diversos órgãos para trabalharem juntos e assim evitar possíveis atrasos”, informou a diretora de Gás e Energia da Petrobras, Maria das Graças Foster, que assinou o documento pela empresa. “Essas providências vão garantir o abastecimento para São Paulo”, complementou a secretária de Saneamento e Energia, Dilma Pena, representante do governo paulista.
